Wedding packages and pricing update …

I have been updating slowly my wedding packages and prices  for this year. Trying to adapt to the market and to the competition . I am not really in competition with anyone other then myself. I believe there is a market for every budget and price range that brides can afford. I want to offer the best to my clients and deliver excellent quality products without raising the tag.

I will have a lot of time on my hands to think of my new pricing on the plane to London. I will be on 6 days business trip to England , hopefully I will be in a better weather conditions then Montreal. From now until I leave , I have so many images to process for several projects that I have been working on . Some are urgent and needs to be completed for this week.

Jewelry photography over the weekend

I don’t do this kind of photography very often. This time I had to spend 2 days in front of the light tent trying to adjust meticulously , gems, rings, earings … under two hot flood lights to obtain perfect exposure. Over 200 items and still have to spend some hours to process the raw images into web and print format. I cant name the website yet but it will announced this week on the radio and will be do my part and promote the site on my blog. Cheers :)

Wedding Photography seminar : NewYork City

What a wonderful busy city. So many places to see and so many things to do. Too bad we only stayed 2 days but now I know for next time. The reason of my trip was to attend to a photography/business  seminar hosted by 2 of the top wedding photographers in the world.

The insight and passion that Joe and Marcus shared with us was so invaluable. They shared their strategies and spoke of their differences in how each operates their businesses. The great thing was they were both presenting at the same time, so you got a nice blend of both.

The sideshows were indeed powerful, inspirational, and most of all, motivational. Presentations like this remind me why I do what I do, and why I like it so much. Plus, I feel that my confidence is boosted more than ever – many things they taught can be instituted right now – and that will help my business grow and be successful.
Investing in personal self improvment is better then investing in new high tech equipment.

Wedding season 2007-2008 : booking now!!

I didnt expect it would be that busy but its a good sign. Already back from vacation and my voicebox was full . I got some dates booked for summer 2007 and its looking good. Using a handheld computer device helps me keep a busy schedule. The investment in is that PaLM PDA is paying itself.

Palm TX

I was watching the other day an intresting video about wedding photograhers and videographers who push the limits of their creativity to deliver better productions . The video showed how many professionals as they call themselves , depend on expensive gear and think they can create better photos or videos without mastering the basic tools.
