Wedding of Isabelle & Eric

It was a warn sunny day , Isablle & Eric were natural , fun and energetic. The ceremony was held outside in the hotel’s garden. Afterwards we moved to the restaurant for the reception. Weddings are fun to shoot in Montreal , specially in the old port area.

Few portrait of this week

I been doing a lot of portrait in ambient light situations. By using a Nikon and shooting at ISO 1600 its not an easy thing to do. Exposure have to be dead on to minimize noise.  I been using reflectors indoors and outdoors to compensate for shadows. My reflector is a simple white foam 20x20inch that costs me 4$.
I been contemplating on buying a continuous light source for weddings and portrait shots that will be added to the mix of flashes. A 1000w halogen light with barn doors and variable focus seems to be the best choice. I will keep shopping around for the best deal and post some new pictures using that kind of light.
Here are 4 pictures taken using only table lamp at ISO  1600 without a reflector
