I been doing a lot of portrait in ambient light situations. By using a Nikon and shooting at ISO 1600 its not an easy thing to do. Exposure have to be dead on to minimize noise. I been using reflectors indoors and outdoors to compensate for shadows. My reflector is a simple white foam 20×20inch that costs me 4$.
I been contemplating on buying a continuous light source for weddings and portrait shots that will be added to the mix of flashes. A 1000w halogen light with barn doors and variable focus seems to be the best choice. I will keep shopping around for the best deal and post some new pictures using that kind of light.
