I had the pleasure to be tbe judge for a photography competition at the Boisbriand photo club ( http://www.clubphotodeboisbriand.com/) . Since it was my first time, I didn’t know what to except . After presenting myself, I took the microphone and started rating and commenting every picture. All the participants had great pictures, which made the job not easy. I would like to congratulate everyone for their participation and for the winners who came forward with such amazing images.
Congratulations to Jean and Mireille and I wish them the best of luck.

It is one of the reasons that I love wedding photography. Seeing so much joy, laughter and sparkly eyes on people’s faces. Two families happily getting together to celebrate Lara and Husam’s wedding who came from Dubai to a rainy cold day in Montreal. The reception was held and the 4 Points Sheraton Hotel in Montreal and the party stayed until the early morning hour.
Congratulations to Lara and Husam !!!!!!!!!!!!

Last week , I had the pleasure to work for the first time with Eva and Samantha on a photoshoot for their makeup and hair styling portfolio. It was a real delight working with the 2 models Suzane and Maria.

Like every year, I get involved photographying junior hockey players and creat hockey cards. This year I decided to go along with the metallic paper prints and round corners. The cards will be double sided .Here is a preview.

I am amused by some local community photographers that drop a low ball on pricing just to get a job and put in peoples mind a bad shape of the industry. Most of the time these so called semi professional are part time photographers. Whatever extra cash on the side they can make is good money. No appreciation to quality, Art or the true vision of photography The time spent by the photographer mastering his craft. Most of the time it becomes a quick patch job , to come shoot and deliver a standard formula pictures without any personalized service or extra client care for long term relationship. This type of photographer will always exist and certain clients will play along .
My objective is to educate every client I meet about this type of practice and separate my self by targeting a different market.
Competition is good , it makes us innovate, come up with new ideas and in the end the costumer is the beneficial. I am always open to work with other photographer and help out when I can. I do refer to a lot of photographers in my area when I am booked for a wedding. Some cant stand the fact of working with the competition and they fight with everything they have.
