Let me start by saying I don’t do trash the dress often . But when it happens its a lot of fun and the results are always out of this world.

Jamie and Melissa are such a beautiful couple and we were so looking forward for the next day after the wedding to shoot some pictures around the resort and on the beach .

Yesterday I arrived from Varadero, Cuba where I shot the wedding of Melissa & Jamie and all there friends and family . Its not my first destination wedding but its my first time meeting the couple down south and I was very anxious to meet Melissa and Jamie. The were a group of friends and family of 45 people and we spent 4 days before the wedding getting to know each other . We had a awesome time and I felt like I was among friends on vacation. It was a real delight meeting some amazing people from Newfoundland.

Wedding day comes, beautiful sunny day with some mild winds on the beach. After preparation shots and few portraits , here we are present with Melissa and Jamie on the beach in Varadero where they got married . The supper and reception followed at the Italian restaurant at the Iberostar Playa Alameda Resort. The next day we had a trash the dress session that I will post some images from in few days .

Destination wedding in Cuba : Dina & Renie

It was a warm sunny day now in Varadero , Cuba. The preparations were are the resort before the ceremony and reception to be held at the Casa Dupont. Dina was surrounded by her sisters, her mom and her little angle during the preparations in the morning. While Renie was taking it easy in the pool with friends and few drinks to start the wedding day on the fun side. We left the resort by car to the venue while the Dina took a horse ride. After the ceremony we took an hour for few pictures around sunset and then we hit the dance floor for some hot music time. The very next day, we went for a trash the dress session with the bridal party. Hope you enjoy the slideshow .

I have been looking forward for this destination wedding for a long time. From the first day I met Dina and Renie and we discussed the trip to Cuba, I knew its going to a be a trip of a lifetime. Renie is from Varadero and he knew every single corner of that city. We did a e-session the day before the wedding in the streets of varadero and then we headed for the beach around sunset. After the wedding we did a trash the dress session around the hotel and with the bridal party on the beach. I took pictures almost everyday in such a way to document this wonderful journey. Friends and family came from all over Canada and Russia to be present at the union of this amazing couple. I want to thank you again Dina and Renie for allowing me to be part of this wonderful adventure.

I get contacted regularly by couples through my website for my photography services for their destination wedding. Since my books start at least 12 to 18 month in advance, I wish I get more early bookings for destination weddings. That gives me time to sit down with the couple and plan days of photo shoots on the beach for my few days down south. I think when doing a destination wedding , the photographer should spend few days with the couple taking picture and visiting different locations more then just wedding picture.

For some, a winter wedding in a sparkling white landscape with gently falling snow—is the epitome of romance. But for those who prefer frosting on your cake, rather than frost, a destination wedding is for you.

Cuba ,Mexico, The Bahamas, ST-Lucia and Jamaica seems like the most popular destinations. Lots of on the spot locations to choose from for romantic and intimate pictures.
