Wedding of Cristelle and Raji : 10.10.2010

It was my last wedding of the year and I was really looking forward to it because  I knew Raji and Cristelle had planned it in their own unique way to every detail. The day started at the groom’s house where he was surrounded by his friends. The guys were smoking cigars and singing out loud  ”Baby I Like it ”  to the video clip created by the video team FocusVideo. Follow this link to see the fun video.

We split teams to cover both the bride and the groom`s houses simultaneously so we can make it on time to church . Cristelle  designed her own dress and was just gorgeously looking on her with her fun and happy mood , jumping and dancing on her bed just before we head out for the family portraits. Its a typical joyous Lebanese tradition to have 100 people gathering at the bride`s house to take pictures, eat some delicious imported  sweets and sing for the bride leaving her parent’s house.

After church we went to Mont-Royal, a special place for the bride and the groom where we took pictures and headed back to party until 4am. Yes the reception at Le Madison ended at 4am in the morning , in part due to the best DJ in Montreal, Dj Nadim Naoum. Here are the some pictures from that wedding that I would like to share with you and soon I will update back that post with a video slideshow . Congratulations to the newlyweds.

Racha and Tamim married

Nothing makes us happier than a beaming bride and groom. We feed off our clients’ energy and Racha+ Tamim fueled us all day with their happy glow. Racha looked amazing in her wedding dress and the expressions on her face kept giving me the impression I was with Angelina Jolie and another Lebanese  celebrity , Nancy Ajram. Tamim was looking sharp and ready to get married. Such a beautiful couple and so down to earth and the pleasure we had around the city taking pictures even under the rain.

Ceremony: Saint-Sauveur Church
Reception: Renaissance
Dj service: Dj Nadim Naoum

Engagement session in Lebanon : Laura and Wissam

[ updated and re-posted back from January 2010 ]
I don’t know from where to start describing my feelings about me going to my home country to shoot a wedding. Since most of couples in Lebanon seems to fall in the traditional style when it comes to photography, Laura and Wissam are not any ordinary couple. They wanted something different , something fresh and mostly fun. Its the type of couple you want to spend the whole aftern0on with taking pictures, having an ice-cream and few drinks. We went to the city of  Byblos and walked around the Marina and the old market. It’s said that Byblos is to be the oldest inhabited city in the world, the source of the first Phoenician letters that gave us our alphabet.  Even if it was December, the weather was just amazing for an outdoor photo session . Thank you Laura and Wissam for the opportunity you gave me and for everything.  Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Luis and Berna : A mixed Lebanese and Portuguese wedding

They been announcing rain for the weekend and it wasn’t looking for good weather wise for the wedding.  Despite all that, the excitement was there awaiting for the wedding of Luis and Berna. The day started at the grooms (Luis ) house where we met few of the families and friends coming from all over the world. USA , Portugal, Switzerland and France.  They had some delicious pig cooked and ready for the occasion. After few pictures we went to the bride’s house ( Berna )  in Laval where we found her getting her latest make-up retouches and cracking up some laughs with her sisters. It has been a long time since i didn’t shot a wedding and Notre-Dame de Nareg Church in Montreal. Guests just went crazy shower the newly wed couple with rice when exiting the church.

After our photo session downtown Montreal we headed back to Buffet Marina where friends and family were awaiting for the couple to start the party. Which was a grat party by the way. A beautiful mix of cultures between Lebanese and Portuguese.
Berna and Luis considered us ( myself and my fiancé ) as friends and not as photographers. They promised us they will come to visit after the honeymoon for a drink and some movies.  Congratulations guys . We wish you nothing but the best of a life together filled with joy, love and happiness.
