Introducing Karen Harraka: Montreal fashion designer

My very good friend Karen Harraka just lunched her website as a fashion designer. Seeing her at work daily, drawing , cutting  and coming with great dresses for her clients. She travels the world and comes back every year with new inspirations to create and design pieces of art that makes women look sexy. The half a day photo shoot was done in Montreal and could not have been possible without the collaboration work of the the team ; makeup artist ( Mishaa )  , the hair stylist ( betty ) and all the models. Here is a preview of her work , the rest of her collection on the website www.karenharraka.com

Montreal city flight with private pilot Marc-Antoine Haddad

I had the opportunity to take my first  flight over Montreal and surroundings with Marc-Antoine. You get a different perspective of the city from an bird’s eye view. The experience is quit phenomenal specially if the pilot is skilled. He did some breath taking manoeuvres .  We departed from the Mascouche Airport in the early after noon and flew for about 70 minutes over the East of Montreal , to the downtown area then over Laval.  Pictures were captured with the Nikon D7000 and later processed colours and contrast in since it was a hazy day.
For more info on private flights over Montreal or any other closeby city , contact Marc-Antoine Haddad (438) 402-1321

Wedding of Cristelle and Raji : 10.10.2010

It was my last wedding of the year and I was really looking forward to it because  I knew Raji and Cristelle had planned it in their own unique way to every detail. The day started at the groom’s house where he was surrounded by his friends. The guys were smoking cigars and singing out loud  ”Baby I Like it ”  to the video clip created by the video team FocusVideo. Follow this link to see the fun video.

We split teams to cover both the bride and the groom`s houses simultaneously so we can make it on time to church . Cristelle  designed her own dress and was just gorgeously looking on her with her fun and happy mood , jumping and dancing on her bed just before we head out for the family portraits. Its a typical joyous Lebanese tradition to have 100 people gathering at the bride`s house to take pictures, eat some delicious imported  sweets and sing for the bride leaving her parent’s house.

After church we went to Mont-Royal, a special place for the bride and the groom where we took pictures and headed back to party until 4am. Yes the reception at Le Madison ended at 4am in the morning , in part due to the best DJ in Montreal, Dj Nadim Naoum. Here are the some pictures from that wedding that I would like to share with you and soon I will update back that post with a video slideshow . Congratulations to the newlyweds.

Racha and Tamim married

Nothing makes us happier than a beaming bride and groom. We feed off our clients’ energy and Racha+ Tamim fueled us all day with their happy glow. Racha looked amazing in her wedding dress and the expressions on her face kept giving me the impression I was with Angelina Jolie and another Lebanese  celebrity , Nancy Ajram. Tamim was looking sharp and ready to get married. Such a beautiful couple and so down to earth and the pleasure we had around the city taking pictures even under the rain.

Wedding of Lina and Mike

Weddings are fun and joy full event . Lina and Mike’s wedding is no exception but with an extra touch of more fun , love and good times. I had met Lina and Mike last year when we booked the wedding and again this spring when we had the engagement session. A large bridal party was awaiting us and that’s what makes it more fun. We had a rain , but who cares , we still went to the park for some pictures and then we visited the Henri-Bourassa Metro station for some unusual pictures. Lina and Mike are a really down to earth couple and happy together. Its always make the job easier when the couple just provide you with some love and we just capture these moments. The reception was held at Buffet Roma  where Dj Mario was mixing the music along with a few Lebanese singers. La Troupe Folklorique les Chevaliers du Liban performed few typical Lebanese dances and astonished the crowd.  Here are some images to share with you.
